Three new tech start-up firms have won Government backing to help renters get a mortgage.

As rent is not routinely recognised in credit scores, renters can struggle to get a mortgage but these new innovative firms aim to redress the issue with Apps designed to help renters record and share their rent payment data, helping boost their credit score.

Sharing £2 million in a Dragon’s Den style challenge, the 3 winning tech firms successfully beat off challengers in the Rent Recognition Challenge.
