If you were a member of Ombudsman Services: Property, you must now move to either The Property Ombudsman or The Property Redress Scheme, to continue operating legally. For as of today, 6th August 2018, OS:P have withdrawn from handling complaints in the property sector.

OS:P was the approved redress scheme for RICS members, so this will affect them more than most agents.

What will happen during the transition?

OS:P will also continue to provide an enquiry service until the end of 2018, to assist consumers and businesses by directing complaints to the appropriate handler.

This will be operated as a goodwill gesture, to help ensure a smooth transition to the new arrangements your firm have made.
