From humble beginnings, The Property Jungle has emerged as a leading specialist web developer in the UK property industry and is proud to be celebrating its 20th year in business this May; a significant milestone that is a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit.

The company’s journey began when founder Mike Smithson rebranded his existing web design business, Release IT, to The Property Jungle in 2003. With just one employee, Sean (who is still an integral part of the team today), Mike set out on a journey to help estate agents establish their online presence.

Hard work and long hours paid off when Mike secured his first two clients from an advert he’d placed in The Negotiator magazine, sending out their first invoice for just £20. Since then, The Property Jungle has gone from strength to strength, building over 3,000 websites and sending out more than 100,000 invoices.

What began as a small business has now become a highly successful brand within the property website industry, The Property Jungle has led the way with its innovative designs, outstanding customer service, and technical expertise.

Today, The Property Jungle employs a team of 27 people, each of whom brings their own unique set of skills and experience to the company. From designers and developers to marketing and sales experts, the team works tirelessly to provide estate agents with the best possible online presence and help them create more business and increase their market share.

Our team’s hard work has not gone unnoticed, as The Property Jungle was recognised as the number one supplier among all property industry suppliers, beating 4,000 other companies in 2021 when we won the EA Masters, Overall Supplier of the Year Award; an impressive achievement and one that speaks volumes about the team’s dedication and commitment to excellence.

As The Property Jungle celebrates its 20th anniversary, the company looks forward to continuing its journey and helping estate agents to thrive in the digital age for many more years to come.
