iOS is Apple's mobile operating system. Originally developed for the iPhone, it has since been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPod touch, iPad and Apple TV.
Adding your email account in iOS requires an incoming and outgoing mail server configuration, following the steps below you will be able to easily configure your new email accounts.
Finding and Setting Your Preferences
On your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, find and tap the Settings icon.
Find Mail, Contacts, Calendars in the list of settings and tap it.
Find Add Account... and tap on this, we are going to add some basic details for your new Email account.
Selecting Account Type and Adding Details
In the list of familiar email icons find Other and tap it.
Tap on Add Mail Account.

On this section enter your Name, email address, password and a description of the account.
Tap Next in the top right corner.
Setting Incoming and Outgoing Servers
This section allows you to fine tune your account details. Under Incoming Mail Server you will need to add your username. This is typically websiteaccountname-nameofemailaccount and will have been supplied to you. Select POP at the top, in computing, the Post Office Protocol (POP) is an application-layer Internet standard protocol used by local e-mail clients to retrieve e-mail from a remote server over the Internet.

In Outgoing Mail Server you will need to duplicate the Incoming Mail Server settings. So the hostname will be mail.yourwebsite.com, username will be websiteaccountname-nameofemailaccount along with your password.
Tap Next in the top right.
Completing the Set-up
At this point you might get a certificate notification, it's safe to tap Continue to proceed.
You may also get a notification telling you that you can't connect with SSL, it's also safe to tap Yes.

You have the option to sync both mail and notes, the choice is up to you. Tap on Save.
Editing Advanced Settings
Once the account has been set-up you will need to edit advanced settings in order to change deletion settings to avoid confusion with your desktop email clients.
Once the account has been set-up it should display in a list like below.
Tap on the new account so you can edit the advanced settings.
There are a few things that need changing to avoid confusion with deleted messages on your desktop email clients.
- Set Remove to Never
- Use SSL set to Off
- Delete from server set to never
