Akapusi Qera leaves Gloucester for Toulouse

The Property Jungle’s Gloucester Player Akapusi Qera leaves storm battered UK for sunnier climes and one of Europe’s top teams.

The Property Jungle’s sponsorship of Gloucester Rugby Clubs Akapusi Qera has sadly come to an end. Qera has signed for Stade Toulousain Rugby Union Club from Toulouse. As arguably one of the finest rugby clubs in Europe, having won the Heineken Cup a record breaking four times and runners up twice, we can hardly blame him after the dismal year Gloucester have had.

Stade Toulousain have also won a record 19 French Championship titles and is traditionally one of the main providers for the French national team so Qera will now be playing alongside a world class field, more befitting of a player who has captained his national team an impressive thirty five times.

Toulouse borders the Mediterranean climate zone so coming from Fiji’s tropical heat to the UK’s rain soaked and wind battered shores, Qera will also no doubt enjoy this more temperate climate. France also have an uncapped earnings potential for rugby players so although we are sad to lose this talented rugby star, we wish him the very best for the future and hope to see him being given the opportunity to play to his full potential for Toulouse.
